ORC cogeneration plant
Supplying, powering the plant and measuring biomass quantities at SC RIG BIOMASS SRL
The ORC – RIG Biomass SRL cogeneration plant is a versatile installation, of high performance, able to consume a wide range of biomass assortments.
Predominantly, it is fed with woody biomass available locally in sufficient quantities, considering the integrated operation of this plant with SC FORESTAR SA, a company specialized in wood processing, to which most of the thermal energy is delivered.
The cogeneration plant will not use other types of fuel.
The main fuel will be woody biomass from wood processing and forest waste.
The automatic control and supervision system of the power station
automatically transmits messages on the state of the power station, in a predetermined hierarchy, via GSM and Internet.
There is always a service operator who can reach the objective in a short time if necessary, and during the working hours they are present to service the installation: an operator, the mechanic, the manager and the laboratory technician.
Quick intervention
The power plant can also be operated remotely, on the Internet, and the operators are equipped with smartphones and laptops capable of informing about the state of the plant and operating the plant remotely.

Wood pellets

General features
Pellets are solid fuels, with low moisture content, obtained from sawdust compressed to twice the density of green wood. They contain no additives because the naturally existing binders in sawdust keep the pellets compact.
Pellets have a higher calorific value, lower transport costs, are easy to handle by the domestic user and become a viable substitute for various fossil fuels (natural gas, oil, coal) or firewood.
SC RIG Biomass SRL maintains an internal quality control program in accordance with the requirements of international standards.
This program monitors product quality from the moment the raw material - sawdust - is received until the final product - pellets - is loaded for shipment.

Packing and sale
The pellets are delivered packed in 15 kg bags.
There are 65 bags on a wooden pallet, 975 kg/pallet.
The minimum sales unit is the pallet.
The bags can easily be stored in a 1m x 1.2m space.
